A couple of weeks back when it got hot for here 95-97degrees we had a problem. Even though we watered a lot (twice a day in most cases) we still got major burns.
The Maples mostly burned on the leaves. Which seems to be OK, I have pulled most of them off. It looks like most of the plants are getting new leaves. We also have Alberta Spruce. These trees burned in two ways. First the ones that are potted are showing a major burn on their tops. Second all of them are showing some kind of burn on the inner branches. It looks like the only cure for this is to cut out the burned areas.
Before this happens again we need to set up a shade system for all trees in the sun.
